I am a husband and a dad of two little girls. I am a lone Y chromosome and am already planning my escape strategy to deal with the estrogen flood that is on its way. People say there is a lot of joy to be found in the simple things and I have found they can provide a healthy dose of anti-awesome as well. I am, in general, a pretty optimistic guy and needed a bit of a creative outlet; so here it is. Thanks for stopping by.
I’d love to hear from you. Drop me a line at sweetandweak@gmail.com

Hey, I love this blog, it’s hilarious! You have one witty pen! My family’s actually the opposite of yours…there’s 2 girls 2 boys but I’m autistic, which means “extreme male brain,” according to Baron-Cohen even though I’m a double-x, so it’s as though my mum lives with three guys. And I’m always the one fixing the electrics!

Love the concept of your blog—elegant. I’m gonna read the crap out of it. Your writing is so uncluttered. Clean and simple sentences. I try to write that way myself, so I’m glad to see that that style is practiced proudly by others too.
Also, thanks for visiting my blog.
July 10th, 2012 at 12:32 pm
Thanks so much, I wish I could tell you that my uncluttered style was intentional but in reality I just don’t know a lot of words. Thanks for stopping by.

Simon, you sound like my husband. Outnumbered in his own house. Even our dog is a girl and the poor man sometimes looks quite forlorn! Thanks for liking my posts, I’ve just had a look at yours and had a damn good giggle. I especially like the “Massive phones attached to buildings you had to put money in to make them work”. Miss 5 asked me why I was laughing and so I had to explain. Perfect! Just cemented your points and made me laugh even more:) Nice Work!
September 29th, 2011 at 1:40 pm
You have an incredible knack for taking everyday occurrences and turning them into hilarious, inspiring posts! I’m a young parent of 3 so I can definitely relate to most, if not all of your posts! I like your posts so much I subscribed to your blog a couple days ago, so keep writing!
Also, I’d like to invite you to my blog (it’s relatively new at the moment) to take a look! Hope to see ya there – http://www.jcdickerson.wordpress.com
Keep up the good work!

We also have two little girls! When I was pregnant with the second someone said of my husband “He must have been destined to be admired by women!” And he is. He’s certainly a hero in the eyes of the women in this household! Just remember that when you’re feeling outnumbered…you get to be a hero every day!
September 24th, 2011 at 4:01 pm
I wouldn’t trade it for the world!
September 24th, 2011 at 8:27 am

November 17th, 2011 at 4:00 pm
Thanks so much for reading, I really appreciate it.

Sounds like my dad as well. Only brother to 4 older sisters, father to two daughters, and our dog is a boy but his manliness is chopped off so does he actually count?
Good luck surviving!
September 23rd, 2011 at 2:39 pm
You sound like my Dad: Father of two girls, a little out of his element, but stayed positive and learned the joy in saying (not often, of course), “here’s my credit card, have fun shopping.” And all the girls smiled.
September 23rd, 2011 at 2:49 pm
Yeah, I told my wife that God must have made me so good with women as preparation. She didn’t really think that was as hilarious as I did.
September 24th, 2011 at 8:27 am
Haha.
